CyberGhost ReviewJune 2018 CyberGhost Review & Deals
CyberGhost is a premium VPN service with great speeds and heaps of servers. Despite a few negatives, it’s worth trying out if you need a trustworthy provider that ticks all of the right boxes.Visit Site for More Info
CyberGhost is a trusted VPN provider that is unlikely to let you down. It has high-level encryption and a policy of keeping no logs, while their HQ is based outside the dreaded ‘14-eyes’ network. It’s a solid VPN with no real flaws, and it has a lot going for it.
Their money-back guarantee is good for the first 30 days of service
The range of CyberGhost servers make it easy to find a smooth connection
Five simultaneous connections should be enough for the majority of users
Lots of additional features, including malicious website protection and cookie blocking
Great speeds all-around
It’s not the best VPN for Netflix given their problems with accessing streams in the past, although we had no issues with accessing Netflix during testing
Their free VPN doesn’t match up to the premium version
Speeds are notable across the board, with little to no lag during intensive tasks like gaming or streaming. CyberGhost download and upload speeds are faster than the norm, and you’ll be free to download torrents via P2P sharing. If you need a VPN that works with Netflix, we’re happy to report that CyberGhost is usable. However, they have been blocked by the streaming service in the past, so there’s always a chance that it could happen again. If you’re looking for a high-speed VPN for Europe or North America you’ll struggle to find much better.
If you’re more interested in privacy, you’ll be pleased to hear that CyberGhost will keep you secure. They have the standard AES 256-bit encryption that you’ll find with any legitimate provider, while they keep no logs of your activities. CyberGhost do keep light connection logs for up to 30 days, but they’re deleted after a month. (Their explanation is that they want to make sure that people are actually using the VPN.) Any CyberGhost review worth its salt should mention the kill switch, as well as the ad-blocking and anti-malware that works in the background to keep you safe while browsing.
CyberGhost servers are plentiful, with over 1100 in 47 countries worldwide. You’ll find high-speed connections across nearly every continent, and lots in key locations. The US alone has over 200, while the UK has 122 servers to choose from. It’s a major plus point, and it ensures that you’ll be able to connect in major regions. However, their service is spotty across continents such as Africa and Asia, which isn’t ideal for users in those areas.
Customer support comes in the form of limited live chat and a ticketing system, although we had to use the latter as the chat function wasn’t working when we tried to get in touch. They also have extensive guides and troubleshooting tips which are reasonably helpful, while ticketing should take less than a few hours on average for a response.
A month is reasonably expensive, but longer contracts are highly affordable. Their 24-month deal at $2.90 per month is a great price, while their 12-month offer is heavily discounted.
Considering the servers and the added security it’s a fair deal, and you can always take advantage of the money-back guarantee if you want a CyberGhost trial.
One month: $10.99
Six months: $7.99 per month
12 months: $4.99 per month
24 months: $2.90 per month
CyberGhost offers the perfect mix of speed and security at a great price. It allows users to stream and torrent files quickly, safe in the knowledge that they won’t be receiving any letters in the mail from their ISP. The connection logging is a sore point, but they’re upfront and honest about it, while their servers are both fast and plentiful. It’s a great VPN that comes in at a cheap price for their longer deals, and it’s highly recommended by us. CyberGhost Netflix support is another major bonus, helping it to an above-average overall score.
